It’s kind of fun that so many interesting games are taking advantage of cellphones. My favorite TV shows, Stargate, has been running a competition that requires sending a text message with the answer to a multiple choice question.

I would just like to say that I’ve got all of them but one correct so far. :-P

Now there’s a new website called bid4prizes that gives away prizes and uses the cell phone (or their website) as a means to play. The way that you play is you make a bid on a prize and hope that your’s is the lowest unique bid.

For example, everyone is going to bid an amount of one cent. That’s pretty much a given. That will be the lowest bid, but it won’t be unique because everyone else is doing it.

One of their prizes (at the time of this post) is the Apple iPhone. Hm, that would be nice to win, wouldn’t it? I wouldn’t keep it if I won it, though. I prefer flip phones because they protect the display screen, and I generally have my cellphone in my pocket along with my keys. Yeah, I know, I should keep it on my belt, but it just gets in the way hanging there.

Besides, the Apple iPhone is a pretty popular phone. Let’s be realistic, I could eBay this thing and fetch a profit regardless of how much it sold for because I would have won it for free. Cha-ching!

I have signed up for a free account and am currently bidding on an item. Wish me luck, this is kind of fun! :-)
