…hopefully.
I had previously used Wordpress.com [Click Here] as my personal blog, but Wordpress.com does not offer the freedom needed to run one’s own blog. You can’t edit templates, and they block a great deal of code from being posted.
So I got tired of that and ran off to Blogger [Click Here], but their templates aren’t particularly good. Still, they allowed a great deal more freedom than Wordpress.com does.
Then today it occured to me that I am now able to use an unlimited number of databases, sub-domains, and FTP logins. Upgrading my account has some nice perks, with those features as well as 6 GBs of storage space. Hey, not shabby at all considering that my blog is currently using less than 150 MBs (by a hair, but still less).
So what was I doing on any other service when I could easily install Wordpress on my own sub-domain and do whatever in the world I wanted to do with it?
Tada! Brain goes, “Duh!”
Thus here we are on my new personal blog, and with any luck I won’t have any other reason to move the “personal blah blah”, as I like to think of it, to any other location.
