My EverQuest 2 character is finally able to use the mist form that I picked up awhile ago, so I snapped a few quick screen shots. Go figure that I didn’t think to grab one with the demon looking skelly, but I’ll see about getting one of those later.

New Robe + Rogue Scout

This shot shows off the new robe, something called Caliginous Folds. I had to hit a dictionary and I found that “caliginous” means “Dark, misty, and gloomy.” [link] Knowing that, I can’t help but wonder if it was opposite day when they named this item. The so-called “Caliginous Folds” is so bright and pretty… and pink… that it’s uncomfortable to have on my male character.

At any rate, that dark blob is the scout pet.

 

Oh Come All Ye Faithful

This title is the first that came to mind as I was naming these images. It seemed fitting for this shot, which is taken from the pet conjuring animation.

The arms move in circles with the tracers while the cloud animates at the feet. It’s not too bad.

Rise To The Occasion

The finishing stage of the animation. Skelly “crawls out of the ground” and a bunch of smoke flares up over the character.

The smoke should definitely be attached to the pet, it makes little sense being attached to the character. Nonetheless, it provided an opportunity for a very cool looking screen shot.

 

Things of Nighatmares

With the ghostly appearance of the character, the night time sky, and the bat flying by in the background the first caption that came to mind for this image is, “Things that nightmares are made of”.

That doesn’t sound quite right though, so I went with “Things of Nightmares”.

 
 

Shade ‘o The Shattered Moon

It’s darn near written in stone that you can’t have an EQ2 screen shot without the moon in the background. Or what’s left of it. “Shade of The Shattered Moon” was the first title to pop to mind with the invisible misty character and the moon as the background.

Sans Robe

This was a quick shot to show what the character looks like without the robe on. Here, ‘ol Mysk almost looks like a martial artist / monk class of some sort. Note that the hair is quite a bit different from the character’s hair. It’s kind of obvious that the character’s model is simply replaced with another one.

Here’s just a straight on shot of the character. No fancy business.
