It felt pretty good getting out after skipping yesterday’s jog due aches & pains. This morning I made three laps around the park rather than my usual two.

It’s probably a good idea to point out again that my “laps” are broken into walking and jogging, and are not non-stop jogs around the park. In fact, I have mentally divided the streets into even sections so I jog (roughly) the same distance on each of the four streets around the park.

So there’s that, morning jog done - woohoo! ;)

I done my usual stretches after the jog: Squat down with one leg out to the side, lean down & try to place palms on the ground, attempt to do the splits as far as I can, and I done the aforementioned splits while reaching my hands back between my legs.

I also do a butterfly stretch where one sits and puts the bottom of their feet together and presses their knees down. After this I put my feet out a little bit in front of me (but still keep them together) and I try to touch my nose to my feet.

After stretching I done my usual ab crunches and push ups. The ab crunches are done by lifting the feet vertically and attempting to touch the left ankle with the right hand, and right ankle with the left hand as fast as I can. It’s a simple yet very effective workout that we done in yoga class.

This morning’s humbling moment: Folks jogging with their dog are becoming a common sight, but this morning one of those folks were over weight and still managed to cover a longer distance than I can. O.o I mean, seriously.. sheesh. On the bright side I seemed to spend more time out around the park than her..

This morning’s observation: Most joggers in my neighborhood, at least in the morning in the park area, are guys. Of the five of us out this morning only one of us were female.

Later folks,
~Steph
