I can’t be too specific about last night’s dream because I don’t have a lot of time to type it up, and I also don’t remember every detail.

The gist of it is that I lived in a small village. Myself, my mother, and many others were inside of one of the humble houses. Many people were outside or inside of other houses, and we were all preparing for the Halloween celebration. It was very traditional, if not mixed with other holidays, as there was a “May pole” as well as plenty of orange Halloween decoration.

I looked out the window and saw storm clouds rolling in and, a few minutes later, these storm clouds suddenly slammed to the ground, knocking everyone flat onto the grass and dirt. At first it was kind of exciting as no one was killed from it, it was simply a powerful gust of vertical wind. My reaction was something like, “Woa, did you see that? Sucks to be them!”.

Then it hit again, and again, and again and continued moving toward the house which we were all in. Whoops! Fun times were over.

It smashed into the house closest to us and I remember thinking in horror, right before it did, that everyone inside of that house was going to die. I tried to yell for them to get out and I think that a few did manage to dive out of the door way or a window, but most were inside when the structure was flattened.

I should have listened to my own advice. The “cloud”, which was semi-circular in shape, slammed down on top of our house next. I remember seeing the boards explode inward and the roof smash down as the house was squashed, and I jumped onto my mother as quickly as I could in order to protect her.

Dreams being dreams, we didn’t die. From this point, my next clear memory of the tream is being in control a small alien space ship. However, I know for a fact that we were all abducted and there was a large adventure in escaping our cells and making it to the ship.

Once we got into the ship – and here the dream merges vaguely with the game Prey – we couldn’t simply return home. The alien vessel that we were on was the “mother ship”; it was bloody huge. There was also an armada accompanying it. The alien queen (why is it that evil aliens are always ruled by a queen? hmm) appeared on the semi-translucent screen inside of the ship that we were controlling. She told us to give up, which we refused, then she informed us of how foolish we were being and that she was just going to destroy the Earth anyway.

You know, the typical verbiage of ye’ol alien invader leader.

So we decided to try to do something in an attempt to save the Earth, and we flew straight toward the control tower in which the queen resided and began shooting at the windows. The idea, of course, was to blow it to bits along with her. Unfortunately the shots done nothing. It turns out, as she was happy to explain to us, that these little fighters (or shuttles or whatever you want to call them) were specifically designed to have firepower that was not strong enough to damage the larger ships. Specifically for situations where escaped prisoners managed to steal one.

In short, we were not able to save the Earth from the alien mother ship’s massive main gun, but I woke up before it fired and blew the Earth to bits. Such is the way it goes sometimes. :-P
