About
Education:

I finished my third semester at Pittsburg State University on December 14th 2007. So far it looks like my grades have remained respectable, though I unfortunately did not make All ‘A’ Scholastic Honors as I did for my previous two semesters.
My favorite class for the aforementioned semester was easily the Korean Language & Culture class.
I currently major in Psychology.
It is likely that I will go to South Korea this May, and I may even go to South Korea as an exchange student for the Fall 2008 semester. This depends on how well this Spring semester goes.

Yes, I know that Scot-Irish / Ulster Scot does not in itself mean that I am of Irish descent. My family heritage calls from all of the listed lines.
The Native American blood still shows in me to a small degree. I have noticeable red flecks (or tint) to my skin, and when I tan my arms generally grow more red than they do a tan color (NOT sun burn red). Full tans in my family generally become a darker red than your usual Caucasian tan.
From my father’s side of the family: My Great Grand Father was Chiricahua Apache, and my Great Grand Mother was Sioux. Rumor has it that my G.Grand Father stole my Great Grand Mother and made her his wife. There is also some Irish from my father’s side.
Rumor has it that there is Native American heritage on my mother’s side of the family, but there is no evidence of this. My grand mother, mother, and aunt have very dark eyes and black hair (though they’re older now so it’s not quite black these days), but we don’t know what this means. (personally, I have black hair and hazel eyes)
I have English heritage from both sides of the family. My grand father on my mother’s side was a blond haired, blue eyed Swede.
Liljenquist is the Swedish surname in my family (my Great Grand Mother’s name was Hulda Liljenquist), and there is also Hoisington (from Nottingham, no less!). The Hoisington in my family are said to be Dutch who eventually moved to England.
My Great Grand Father owned land in England, but he rejected it for whatever reason (rumor is family fued).
About Moi:
I’m an odd sort of fellow that has always had a strong interest in technology, spirituality, and philosophy.
I’m a dreamer iNFP. The type of person who enjoys getting wrapped up in a good story and occasionally becomes attached to characters (aka; with the ideal that the character represents).
I’m the odd fellow; the quiet fellow. The consummate “hopeless romantic” who believes thoroughly that “it’s the thought that counts”. I can spend hours outside looking at the leaves of trees blow (or be blown about) in the wind, or watching the clouds, or gazing at the stars. All of these things are beautiful and have deep stories; stories that I can barely place “the tip of my finger” upon yet that enwrap me nonetheless.
I tend to see deep meaning in the small - sometimes tiny - gestures or reactions from people in a wide variety of situations. Conversely, sometimes I miss the blazingly obvious.
I also tend to be very, very quiet, keeping constantly to myself as I much prefer to keep my thoughts and my feelings my own. This can result in others perceiving me as a very impersonal, if not out-right cold individual. “Knowing” me may take quite awhile unless we ‘click’ at the start.
I also have a strong interest in the martial arts. I find kung-fu to be a beautiful thing to watch, and I’ve studied am studying Genbu-Kai karate-do (and would love to study Kung-Fu, of course!).
I’m the kind of person who loves music, probably more than most. I sometimes say that “life is not life at all without music”.
Thus it’s probably no surprise that I listen to music from all over the world. Personally I think that every culture has something great to bring to the table, so to speak. I enjoy the drumming of native cultures, the free-for-all shamanic sounds of others, to the modern sounds of more modern countries.
My favorite would have to be Asian music. Most Asians seem to have a noticeable touch of what made music from the 80’s so darn good, and aside from that, they often put a lot more spirit into their music than musicians from my side of the world.
Rap is the only type of “music” that I won’t listen to. Anything that’s talking about killing people, beating women, and committing other acts of violence is nothing but a hate message. It doesn’t matter if they do or don’t put it to some sort of rhythm, that’s a hate message, not music.
Favorite Musicians: Junko Iwao, Sakamoto Maaya, Lena Park, KOKIA, Lee Soo Young, Park Ji Yoon, Chihiro Onitsuka, JPop/KPop in general, JiNi, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Delerium, Enigma, Tori Amos, and some Corvus Corax, Therion, Nightwish, Darling Violetta, and other similar styles.
Movies:
I’m a big fan of horror movies, but I prefer horror flicks that mess with your head rather than trying to gross you out. The Others is a good example of what I’m talking about.
Aside from horror flicks I’m also a huge fan of anything with a story, as well as foreign films. For example, Memoirs of A Geisha was a great movie that I would recommend to anyone.
Here’s a quick list:
Legend, The Dark Crystal, The Never Ending Story, Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, The Goonies, Gremlins, The Grudge, The Ring, The Others, V for Vendetta, Memoirs of A Geisha, House of Flying Daggers, My Sassy Girl, 300.
That’s all folks!
