Even if I did not live in the states this would still turn my stomach. What a bunch of disgusting, pandering, money worshiping toads.

I am truly not sure who should be more insulted: the people in the states, or the people in the UK as these snakes try to slither around them for their money.

I’m morbidly curious to see what insults Sony has for UK nationals (and their great BBC) after the PS3 inevitably flops there, too.

Vista (Ultimate) has what should be a very nice built in feature. It’s a full calendar system that not only (is supposed to) keeps track of your schedules, but it can also pull in data from online calendars. So if you want your Google Calendar data on your desktop, you can do that.

At least you should be able to do that. That feature has never worked for me; in fact, adding an online calendar causes Vista’s calendar to crash each time that Vista boots. However, that’s not specifically what I’m writing about today.

This is:

Today’s been a very nice day. I got outside at about 1:00 PM and it’s over cast because of this week’s wet weather. This means that there was no hot sun beaming down on me, and that’s a definite bonus. The actual temp has been a very nice 68o so it feels great outside.

My plan was to walk to campus, go around the gym, and then walk back home. Yet my curiosity got the better of me and I ended up walking around through more-or-less the entirety of the new technology building. That building has an entirely different atmosphere from the rest of the campus; it’s almost like walking into a hospital with its clean tiled floors, modern walls, huge arching windows and so forth. Goodness.

So spring break is finally here and I get some time off from classes. I’d love to visit some other places, go somewhere, or do something, but it looks like I’ll be at home. Oh well, at least I don’t have to listen to the alarm clock in the morning. :D

A lot of folks from my classes are traveling. One of my instructors… I think my step aerobics instructor.. was a little jealous about the places that people are going. Some are going to California, others to Florida, still others are traveling to more exotic locations.

I wonder how many are going to take a Flight to brazil? It’s almost a shame that that site’s for folks in the UK. It has a nice clean design, the information is right there where you need it, and it really seems inviting. That aerial photo of Brazil looks beautiful!

::sigh:: Well what can you do? I get my time to be lazy at home right? It’s no Brazil, but at least it’s comfortable. Spring break wins either way. :-)

So, awhile back Cat drew me a great picture. Unfortunately I can’t share it here because I haven’t received permission to do so, but this post could not be complete without mentioning this. :-)

The other day another pal of mine, who I met through Cat, drew a composite portrait of two of my characters. The cloak was taken from the Dark Brotherhood chara that I played in Oblivion [see it]. The second (and primary) character is Esmer, a World of Warcraft character that I used to play [pic 1 | pic 2].

Here’s the picture (I done an MS Paint edit to add her URL to the image in the odd chance that this gets taken and placed elsewhere on the ‘net):

Zhyling is my character in 9Dragons, a free MMORPG. The game uses realistic martial arts set in mythological ancient China; in other words, all of the traditional beliefs of Chi are real in the game’s setting. This provides the casters and healers that are typical to MMOs.

9D is quite the grind fest, but what can you expect from a free MMO? There are some nice martial arts moves to watch until they become repetitive, and it also has plenty of typical MMO quests and tasks. Not too shabby for a freebie.

Screen shots follow…

Wow! Just wow.. I don’t know much about the Star Tribune itself, but if this is real then how terrifying and disgusting is this: A girl’s beloved dog, a grisly nightmare.

I must leave very soon, but I had to comment on this. Sheesh, why can’t the day start with good news?

This girl is in danger, obviously, and I hope that they find the guy who done this.

<sarcasm>Where’s PETA when you need them?</sarcasm>

Have to go now.. um, good day? Heh. :-) Yeesh!

I don’t know if it’s crazy to start the week off with step aerobics and yoga or if it’s genius. It sure gets the heart going and provides a good, healthy way to get over those Monday blues. On the other hand, after a nice relaxing weekend it can really suck to wake up on Monday morning and groan, “Ohhh, I have to go to step aerobics today…”.

Hah! Either way, I suppose that I’m stuck with it now. :-)

It’s all over the web now. Good’ol Captain America dies at the end of his most recent comic. The method of his death? Supposedly a simple sniper shot. BOOM! Just like that, and he’s gone.

There’s so much talk about it out there, and so many complaints. Have many of us taken the time to analyze the death of Captain America? To compare it to what is happening in the real world?

Let me begin by using the all-popular list approach:

We had our first real philosophy test last week. I have to give the guy credit, it’s the most difficult test that I’ve taken in two semesters. My best guess? I failed miserably. We’ll see what the actual results were.
