My current job at the University is cleaning restrooms and the like. As is typical of this type of job I place a sign in front of the door that states that the restroom is closed.
People tend to ignore the sign and enter anyway, so I also began placing the mop bucket in front of the door. They would try to enter, the door encounters the mop bucket, and at worse they walk away cussing.
Until the arrogant bastard today.
We’re finally reaching the last few chapters in Sociology. This has lead me to the obvious moment of asking, in my best Gomer Pile impersonation, “Gosh, has that much time really passed?”.
Yes, yes it has Gomer. (not that I do that sort of thing very often. I do a terrible GP)
It has also brought us to the most boring chapters of the book. Where once I was at least somewhat interested in the material, I now find myself skipping entire paragraphs. This, I say to myself, is an “acceptable sacrifice” in order to finish the rest of the chapter. These paragraphs (upon paragraphs) are nothing more than “percent this” and “percent that”.
Urgh, I loath it. I can’t help but hold the firm belief that the author of the book simply ran out of useful material and thus fell back on the “civilized equivalent” of foul language.
Or so goes my conspiracy theory anyway.
Eh, I’m just being an ornery ‘ol cuss. Classes resume tomorrow from turkey-day break, and I just finished another one of these percent-filled chapters. I look forward, not unnecessarily with eager anticipation, to a quiz in this subject tomorrow morning. yay.
On the bright side, I would probably have to try hard to lower my grade to a “C” in this class at this point.
Bleh.

I’ve always said that “short is cute”… I just don’t know what to say about this one.
I have to tread carefully here because she seemed like an Asian woman. By no means do I want to make any thoughtless jokes here. Just saying.. she was Asian (I think).
So anyhow, I was at the mall looking through the clothing stores for a new coat since the zipper on my existing leather coat decided to lose a tooth. I had seen a couple of nice leather trench coats online and I was kind of hoping.. not expecting, but kind of hoping… to find something similar to look at in person.
Unfortunately I found nothing, and I was walking out of the last store toward the doors when poof, I see the most littlest iddiest biddiest person I’ve ever seen, working at one of the other businesses..
I had a dream this morning that suggested that calcium may be a concern for me because I stopped drinking cow’s milk so long ago. Heck, it makes sense to me.
I’m now taking supplements every now and then.
I have no time to make this post more detailed. Later,

I logged into my GUS account earlier and I see that my dues for next semester is a whopping $945.00 USD. Goodness! It’s so wonderful of them to wait for the second semester to really kick me in the nuts, isn’t it?
The cost for first semester wasn’t nearly as bad.
To follow up on my earlier post, the JW link recently placed on Shadows In Motion through TLA appears to be a schism group of Jehova’s Witnesses. Now that’s something that you don’t see every day.
Will we eventually see another type of JW church formed by folks such as this? I kind of hope not. I’d not want to see a group of formally dressed people arguing in my front lawn about who gets to knock on my door…
I know, I know. I’m awful. I couldn’t resist. All in good fun. Their link is alright with me – as most other religious groups would be – so long as it’s not a hate group or slanderous content of some sort. Which it doesn’t seem to be (but then, I haven’t read the entire site).
Anyhow, have a good evening folks.

I just noticed that Text Link Ads has added a couple of new links on my main Shadows In Motion site. One that caught my eye and strikes me as “cute” is the Jehova’s Witness’ link.
Now mind you, I’m not bothered by it. I’m just floored by it. Both because my most recent post on SIM is talking about Aine and my personal view of “worship”, and because I have several family members who are JW’s.
I’ll have to throw the website to said family members and have them confirm or deny its legitimacy. Either way, the link is deeply ironic. I certainly got a kick out of it this morning.
Now I need to stop procrastinating and get ready for the day.

If this post has a “bottom line”, it’s: Don’t buy NWN2 for another couple of months (or so).
The best thing to compare Neverwinter Nights 2 with is an early launch MMORPG. It has all of the problems that you would expect from such a launch: A number of quests are broken – including some blatantly obvious main story line quests, impossible-to-miss bugs such as party characters turning into a sorcerer’s or wizard’s familiar, vanishing characters, crash bugs, and all manner of other broken bits are strewn like donut sprinkles through out the game.
My class schedule for Spring of 2007 is set. I’m going to try for English 101 again and hope that I don’t get Ms Condescending as the instructor… again. I also tossed Intro To Philosophy in there seeing as I may minor in the subject.
This one is depressing because CNN seemed to be the only network recently that had any credibility at all. My loss of trust in Fox and the other networks was absolute; I stopped watching their stations, I stopped reading their websites, and I considered any news reported by them in the same way that I would consider any random news that I heard.
So it pains me that CNN would pull such a hard-handed censorship job of Larry King Live. They edited the rebroadcast, forced YouTube to remove the video, sent the fellow reporting the censorship a “Cease And Desist” for embedding the original video on his site, and edited the official transcript of the show.
Wow, that’s just pathetic.
Here are the links:
Looks like I’ll be ignoring CNN as well. I refuse to take any “information” from a network that censors their content, especially so severely. No one with a thinking brain could trust a network that does this, especially over something so insignificant as someone being gay.
