Today I set out to buy either Neverwinter Nights 2 or Final Fantasy XII Collector’s Edition, and NWN2 was not yet at the store.
So sitting on the desk in front of me is FFXII CE. ^_^/
It’s significantly different from any of the other FF games, with the possible exception of FF Online.
The similarities between XII and the online grindfest is that XII has no random battles. The monsters in the world are positioned in much the same way as they are in the online version of the game. Additionally, my character has found a few “wind stones” so far.
Also, you begin the game in a desert area and this reminded me a great deal of FFO.
This post is to test a Firefox extension called “Deepest Sender“.
This extension allows one to compose their blog entries within the left-hand sidebar of the browser. No additional windows are required.
I could go for a “more” tag, but I always edit via the raw textual editor when I make my posts anyway. So this isn’t a big deal, just a little feature that I would find useful.
Will this post appear correct? Time to hit “post” and see.
edit: Yay! \o/ It posted with correct formatting. This was important to test because I typed the post directly from the “source” editing box, which means that I did not use <br> or <p> tags. Now, obviously that works with Wordpress, but there was no guarantee that the extension would handle it correctly. It did. Is good.
Well, there is the matter of those “fancy quotes”, but it does not seem to have negatively affected the link itself. So, *shrug*, it’s all good.

This ought to come as no surprise considering my previous post. I’m at home sick at the moment. Fun fun…
I did make it to campus and managed to complete the psych test, but I went through two packages of tissues during the time that it took me to complete it. I just barely managed to complete the test before needing another tissue which would have resulted in an uncomfortable and no doubt nasty situation…
…or at least in making frequent trips to the bathroom, and I’m not sure how the instructor would feel about that during a test.
So anyhow, I have all weekend to suck down more orange juice and get better. *raises a glass* Cheers.
~Steph, who thinks that sneezing is the silliest idea that the human body has come up with :-/
So the cell phone ought to arrive Monday (or at most Tuesday) according to the shipping estimate. I decided to go with Cingular’s “GoPhone Pay As You Go“.
Slightly sore throat? Check
Slight cough? Yep
Slight chest congestion? Yep, have that too.
If I didn’t know better I’d say that it looks like my body’s trying to get sick. Tsk!
What a pain. I could watch A Scanner Darkly on campus this evening, too. Cool eh? College sure can have its benefits.
Oh well, I have until the 28th to catch it on campus. That’s plenty of time to suck down orange juice and zinc supplements ….right?
I’m most concerned about missing work, actually, but I’ve already let them know that I’m starting to come down with something. So at least it won’t be unexpected if I have to call in.
Ah well. Later folks,
~Steph, who has a psych test tomorrow – yay! ~*.*~
This is frustrating.
No work out this morning because I didn’t get my workout pants cleaned. Come next pay check I’m going to have to buy another couple’o pair.
I decided that Grudge 2 is not worth posting long commentary about. It just plain & simple sucked. Awful directing at best!
This morning’s work out went significantly better than the previous week’s. What helped the most was giving myself a few minutes or so between the use of each machine.
It is unfortunate to have to use so much less weight on each machine compared to what I was lifting. It’s kind of sad to be back down to 30 pounds on one or two of those machines. Anyway, that’s what I get for being a lazy little schoolboy, eh?
heh.
Ah, I skipped last Friday’s work out due to feeling too sore that particular morning to hit the gym. I’m hoping that today’s more relaxed approached to lifting weights will help prevent that and this Wednesday I’ll be able to return to the gym as planned.
This morning I used most of the machines. Shoulder press, leg press, abs work out, each leg “butterfly” machine and so on; most of what I used to hit. I simply used them at reduced weights.
So, I’ll get back up to where I was. It’ll just take a bit of effort. Taking a couple of months off – was it really a couple of months? doesn’t seem that long – has a noticeably negative effect.
On a totally unrelated note, the Firefox 2 spell checker (works as you type) is quite nifty when it works.
Later all,
~Steph
I was reading a digg.com thread earlier and a few of us went off-topic and commented on immigration. This is actually something that’s been rolling through my skull for the last several days, so this is as good an opportunity as any to post my thoughts to my blog.
I’ve been mulling over this subject because some (obviously illegal) immigrants have moved next door to us. This topic is nigh impossible for me to ignore as a result.
Anyway, what follows are my thoughts re-posted from digg:
This is an interesting bit of news that I just noticed from my RSS feeds. May as well pass it along:
Vidgame adaptation rumored to be too pricey — It’s game over for Universal’s and Fox’s participation in the feature adaptation of Microsoft’s “Halo.” — Both of the studios that agreed to co-finance the screen adaptation of the popular Microsoft game have abruptly backed out of the picture.
